Aya is celebrated for canvases where the vibrant hues of his beloved Colombian countryside give birth to magical, deeply poetic abstract landscapes. Within his subtle compositions, blue oceans, tropical flowers, and swaying palm trees dissolve into delicate harmonies of pastel blues, greens, yellows, and purples.
Born in Paris in 1954, Aya studied in France and Switzerland before ultimately relocating to Colombia, where he currently lives and works.
